Ramogi S.H.G welcomes all willing members who originate from the Luo Community to join the group.However,one must be 18 years and above and of sound mind to qualify for membership.

Since the group is composed of several other sub-groups known as Branches (e.g Jamani,Cham Gi Wadu,Mash Ko Lago,Bokole Wichdero,Lakeside,Bomu Osiepe e.t.c), an interested person is required to go through any of the Branches of choice and after successful vetting by the branch officials and branch members,the Branch officials will forward the applicant's name to the Main Office (i.e Ramogi S.H.G Office) for consideration upon which one will be required to be present during General Meetings for Introduction and approval by all Ramogi S.H.G Members. .

For many years now Ramogi S.H.G has thrived on Honesty,Transparency,Accountability and Selflessness.As a result,we tend to limit any charges inflicted on members in a bid to make it affordable for members to sustain their memberships.For that reason,we only subject members to a minimum of Kshs.50 for monthly subscriptions and a total of less than Kshs.800 as initial entry fee which is paid once.

Since the group has other investments onboard,any member willing to join the investment wing is not required to pay registeration fees but normal project fees which is normally agreed upon during General Meetings.

The group's constitution assures mandatory financial support to any active member or family of an active member incase of lose of a loved one (i.e death of Wife or Husband or Child acording to the constitution). Losing a loved one can be so difficult to bare and sometimes the balooning expenses that come with the sad moment can be overwhelming.The group through its members make sure that funds are availed to the bereaved family to cater for the funeral expenses.

 

Since we coexist as a Family,being a member of Ramogi S.H.G also provides one with an advantage of establishing friendship with members from other Branches and this can provide an individual with access to other financial assistance NOT indicated in the constitution e.g. Wedding Committees,Harambees e.t.c

 

Lastly,since the group was formed on the basis of inter-support,tenders are normally awarded to members.

The group,for many years now,has been supporting active members from School Fees-related challenges to other domestic/personal challenges. Any member is free to request for any kind of assistance during General meetings.However,the Chama's constitution directly guarantees financial assistance to any bereaved family.
